Returning Home from 8 Days in Outback Australia

'The Bubbler' in Wabma Kadarbu Mound Springs Conservation Park

As many of you would have probably seen on Instagram & Facebook, I was lucky enough to spend my Christmas break with a few close friends, on a camping road trip from Melbourne to Alice Springs. Being on the road for such a significant amount of time without access to Internet or phone coverage meant that updates to the website were scarce; in fact, non-existent. Returning home, as with any trip I go on, required a bit of readjusting and resettling into everyday life, but now we’re back and in full swing for the New Year.

I took a lot away with me from this trip – certain elements which were both expected and unexpected – that have shaped my outlook and goals for Explore Nation throughout 2016. I’ll explore these notions in a future wrap up of the trip, but for now I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all of the Explore Nation community a Happy New Year. With over 11,000 submissions to #explorenationau, I’m very much looking forward to sharing another year of outdoor experiences with you all.
